  • Hughes Faith

    DVM

Dr. Sammie "Faith" Hughes was born and raised in Bainbridge, GA. At an early age, she developed a love of animals and biology, so it was only natural that she wanted to become a veterinarian. After graduating from Bainbridge High School, then attending Bainbridge College, she transferred to Auburn University. Dr. Hughes graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine cum laude in 1990. After working 2 years at Haines Road Animal Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, she moved back to Bainbridge and worked at Allied Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Tallahassee in 1992 and 1993. On her days off from Allied, Dr. Hughes did relief work at area veterinary hospitals. Relief work is what brought her to Crawfordville, in 1992, when Dr. Jolly Rogers of Forest Animal Hospital (now VCA Wakulla Animal Hospital) needed heart surgery. Dr. Hughes fell in love Wakulla County and never left Crawfordville! Dr. Hughes is married to Bobby Inlow (also from Bainbridge) who is a police officer at FSU. They have a daughter, Libby. Their family also includes 2 cats (Chuck & Little Johnny), 2 cocker spaniels (Woo & Brodie), a Lhasa mix (Precious). Faith is a small animal veterinarian who works on dogs and cats. Her fields of interest are preventative health care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. She is also a board member for CHAT (Citizens for Humane Animal Treatment). "growing up in Bainbridge, GA , my family always had pets, cats, dogs and even a pet goat. My first job was a groomer and kennel tech at Parway Animal Hospital. This is where I fell in love with cocker spaniels and labradors. I am a strong supported of pet adotions, most of my pets are adoptions ( they are all Auburn fans!) GO WAR EAGLES ".

  • Linda Chalker

    DVM

I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I attended the University of Florida earning a bachelor's degree in Microbiology and then went on to earn my veterinary degree at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. I graduated in 1990 and then completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine from 1990 to 1991. I then began private practice at Rock Creek Animal Hospital in Cooper City (suburb of Ft. Lauderdale). I eventually became the Medical Director of VCA Rock Creek Animal Hospital for the previous 10 years prior to my move to Crawfordville. My family and I decided to move to Crawfordville for the small town atmosphere and to rediscover the Florida we remembered. I moved to Crawfordville in 2007 with my husband, William and my daughter Amanda. We currently own an Austalian Shepherd (mini) named Pepper and Nugget a CHAT alley cat. My veterinary interests include internal medicine, dermatology and soft tissue surgery. I also love feline medicine. In my free time (what's that?) I enjoy reading novels, walking and spending time with my family. . "According to my mom, I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was about 7 years old and never waivered from that desire. Even after 23 years as a vet, I am never bored and I am always amazed at how animals heal and greatful that I have an ability to help make their lives a little better. "
